In brief

  1. You need to sign in with an Epic Account to upload content to Twinmotion Cloud.
  2. Use Push to Cloud for quick sharing, or Presentation and Panorama Set to share multiple media items.
  3. Uploaded Presentations and Panorama Sets can be shared via a link or QR code; the same link can be used when content is updated.
  4. Cloud Presentations are limited to 4 GB per file, video memory usage below 21 GB, and textures up to 2K.

Twinmotion Cloud can be used to share scenes and media created in Twinmotion over the web. According to Epic Games documentation, content can be uploaded using Push to Cloud for quick sharing, or by creating Presentations and Panorama Sets. Shared content can be viewed via a link or QR code. This guide is based on the Twinmotion Cloud workflows described in the official documentation; since the sources do not specify a particular Twinmotion version number, no version is assumed.

1. Choose a sharing method

First, decide what kind of content you want to share. Use Push to Cloud to quickly present a work-in-progress scene interactively. Presentation is a better fit for presenting multiple images, videos, sequences, or panoramas together, while Panorama Set is suited to sharing a group of different 360-degree viewpoints.

A Presentation can contain multiple media items. Viewers can navigate the scene and change some viewing parameters, such as the time of day or render mode. In Panorama Sets, viewers move between panoramas using hotspots. You can add up to 100 panoramas to a set, and share a dedicated link or QR code for a specific panorama in that set.

You must sign in with an Epic Account before uploading with either method. Without signing in, you cannot proceed to the cloud upload workflow.

2. Upload content to Twinmotion Cloud

To share a scene quickly:

  1. Open the scene you want to share in Twinmotion.

  2. If the Navigation panel is not visible, open it by going to View › Navigation › Show navigation.

  3. Click the Cloud button in the Navigation panel. The upload window opens and the transfer begins.

  4. When the process is complete, check the success message. Open Twinmotion Cloud opens Web Drive; Close closes the window.

The documentation describes this method as a way to quickly share a scene in progress. After uploading, the scene can be viewed interactively via a link or QR code.

To upload a Presentation or Panorama Set:

  1. Open the Export panel using the Export button in the bottom bar.

  2. In the panel’s Cloud section, click Add beside Panorama Set or Presentation, depending on the content you want to share.

  3. In the window that opens, select the content to upload. You can select multiple Presentations or Panorama Sets in the same operation.

  4. Click Start Export and wait for the message confirming that the upload is complete.

This workflow lets you organize and share multiple media items together in a Presentation or Panorama Set. Once the upload is complete, you can preview, manage, and share the content through Web Drive.

Each Presentation and Panorama Set gets its own sharing link and QR code. Content can also be provided as an HTML embed code for adding to a website. Viewers can open the link in a browser or scan the QR code with a tablet or mobile device. Access is available from browsers on computers, tablets, and smartphones.

According to the documentation, password protection is enabled by default. In Web Drive, you can turn it on or off using the Enable password toggle in the Settings section. If protection is turned off, anyone with the link or QR code can view the content. When protection is enabled again, a new password is generated. To reset the current password, use the Generate new password button; the content remains protected, but viewers will need to use the new password.

In Web Drive, you can sort Presentations and Panorama Sets by title, type, or modification date, and view their creation date, modification date, and size. Renaming or deleting content in Web Drive does not change the source in Twinmotion: the content remains in Twinmotion and retains its original name.

4. Understand the difference between updating and duplicating

When an existing Presentation or Panorama Set is updated and uploaded again, it replaces the previous version in the cloud. The sharing link and QR code remain the same, so collaborators can access the new version at the same address.

If you need to publish a new version while keeping the old one in the cloud, duplicate the Presentation or Panorama Set in the Media dock. Open the three-dot menu for the content and select Duplicate; the copy gets a new ID. You can then edit and upload the copy. Renaming the content or saving the Twinmotion file using Save as does not create a new ID, so duplication is important if you want to avoid overwriting the existing content.

Cloud limits and connection requirements

Check the following limits before uploading or viewing content. They matter both when transferring a file to the cloud and when viewers access the Presentation.

Limit or requirementValue specified in the documentationWhat it means in practice
Presentation file size4 GBThe Twinmotion scene and its assets are counted together.
Video memory usageBelow 21 GBIf you exceed the limit, you may need to reduce geometry or complex textures.
Presentation texturesUp to 2KLarger textures may exceed the limit for cloud Presentations.
Recommended internet bandwidthAt least 25 MbpsThe recommended connection speed for a better viewing experience.
Maximum time a Presentation can remain open60 minutesA Presentation cannot stay open for more than 60 minutes.
Inactivity period30 minutesThe connection is lost if there is no interaction; you can reconnect using Reconnect in the browser.
Presentations viewable at the same timeUp to 100This depends on available cloud GPU instances; viewers may be queued if capacity is unavailable.

Audio is not supported in Cloud Presentations. Image quality is adjusted dynamically based on benchmarking estimates made during processing; quality may be reduced for resource-intensive Presentations to provide smoother viewing. Browser support varies by operating system: the documentation lists Chrome and Firefox for Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows; Safari for iOS, macOS, and Windows; and Chromium-based Edge for Windows.

Common mistakes

  • Mistaking an update for a new version: Re-uploading an existing Presentation replaces the current cloud version. To keep both versions, first use Duplicate in the Media dock.

  • Checking file limits only after uploading: Check the 4 GB file size, video memory usage below 21 GB, and 2K texture limit while preparing your content.

  • Skipping the password check before sharing: If protection is turned off, anyone with the link or QR code can access the content. Check the password settings if access needs to be restricted.

  • Not accounting for a Presentation disconnecting after being left open: The connection may be lost after 30 minutes of inactivity; a Presentation also cannot stay open for more than 60 minutes.

Impact on architecture and visualization workflows

For architecture firms, interior designers, and visualization teams, Twinmotion Cloud’s main benefit is the ability to review a scene interactively without sending large files to recipients. Clients or team members can open a Presentation in a browser, which can reduce concerns about the recipient’s computer performance or file-format compatibility. However, file, texture, and video memory limits still need to be checked before uploading. Since viewing quality may also vary depending on resource requirements, it is useful to test the cloud version before an important presentation.

3dEditor’s assessment

For architecture and visualization firms in Turkey, Twinmotion Cloud is a useful option for setting up quick presentations and feedback loops without sending scene files. Being able to review content on different devices can make presentations easier to prepare.

However, cloud sharing does not remove file and texture limits, so teams need to plan content optimization before uploading. For version management, remember that re-uploading can replace the previous version. Password and link settings should also be part of the pre-sharing checklist.

Frequently asked questions

How do you upload a Presentation to Twinmotion Cloud?

For quick sharing, you can use the Cloud button in the Navigation panel. To upload a Presentation or Panorama Set, select the content in the Cloud section of the Export panel and click Start Export.

What are the file and texture limits for Twinmotion Cloud Presentations?

The Presentation file size is limited to 4 GB, including the scene and its assets. Presentation textures can be up to 2K, and video memory usage must remain below 21 GB.

Does the link to a Twinmotion Cloud Presentation change when it is updated?

An updated Presentation or Panorama Set uses the same sharing link and QR code. To keep the old version and upload a separate one, duplicate the content in the Media dock.
